June Wasser is the strategist behind the programs and direction of the Foundation, applying extensive leadership experience in medical research and translational science to the mission of advancing regulatory science at the FDA. Her vision for the Foundation’s IMEDS program and Expanded Access Navigator, in particular, is an extension of a career spent applying research to real-world improvements in public health.
Though she was the founding executive director of Tufts University’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute and an instructor of medicine, hers is much broader than an ivory tower perspective. June has served in consultant and senior management roles ranging from the Department of Defense to the American College of Cardiology Foundation, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and WebMD.
She holds a Master of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles and completed two additional years of advanced graduate studies at the University of Chicago.
