The Research Resource

Webinar
October 30, 2024 | 1:30-2:30pm (eastern)

On October 30, 2024, we held a one-hour session on IMEDS, a flagship program of the Regan-Udall Foundation for the FDA. The IMEDS program serves as a national resource to advance the use of FDA tools, including frameworks, guidance documents, and Sentinel initiative tools, in the conduct of real-world data (RWD) studies to advance public health and medical evidence generation.

Speakers discussed how IMEDS impacts the RWD space and presented information about how your organization can get involved. Leaders across the IMEDS Analytic Center, Operational Center, and health system Network Partners shared their experience with IMEDS, the value the network brings, and opportunities for the future. Project sponsors also shared their experiences leveraging IMEDS resources and the opportunities it has afforded them.

Benefits of Working with IMEDS:

  • Extensive Network: Over 125 million patients with at least one day of insurance coverage
  • Streamlined & Privacy Protected Real-World Data: All data are harmonized to the Sentinel Common Data Model and analysis conducted with Sentinel Query Tools that allow data to stay within its native environment
  • Experience and Expertise: Our seasoned team has participated in many multi-year post-market research studies from feasibility assessment through final report, and all stops in between
  • Singular Point-of-Contact: The Foundation brings together the appropriate resources and manages the project according to your criteria and timeline

The IMEDS Network consists of the IMEDS Operations Center, the IMEDS Analytic Center, and health system partners across the US. Being a part of the IMEDS Network provides opportunities for collaboration in interesting and impactful research.
