Supporting the Use and Implementation of FDA’s Updated “Healthy” Claim

In collaboration with the FDA Human Foods Program, the Foundation convened a series of five invitation-only virtual roundtable discussions in April 2025 to identify ways in which stakeholders could use the “healthy” claim to support consumers and ways FDA could further support stakeholders in their use of the “healthy” claim. Stakeholders participating in the roundtables included retailers, manufacturers, trade associations, academia, health care groups, and consumer/public health groups. The report “Supporting the Use and Implementation of FDA’s Updated “Healthy” Claim: Summary of Roundtable Discussions” summarizes key themes from the sessions.
